Join the Masquerade Party!
It’s always fun to dress up and enjoy an elevated experience at the opera, but with a colourful performance of Die Fledermaus bursting from the QET stage on Halloween night, it’s time to take it to another level. Strauss’ hilarious operetta revolves around a champagne-infused masquerade ball, and each of the characters have their own reasons for decadent deception. This Halloween, dress to impress, or don your favourite wallflower costume to enjoy great opera and some of the best people-watching in town. With tickets starting at just $25, it’s a Halloween no-brainer (particularly if you decide to dress up as the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz). A few things to note... 1. If you’re wearing a mask, you’ll need to briefly reveal your face to the security staff on your way in, though like Alfred to Bruce Wayne, they’ll keep your secret identity a secret. 2. Your costume can’t take up more than one seat, so if you and some friends were planning on hitting the town as Voltron, you’ll just have to split into five robot lions for the QET portion of your evening.
