As we consider how we connect with and expand our opera-loving community, we’ve made a difficult but necessary decision to shift to a digital programme. We’re committed to creating extraordinary, world-class opera experiences in Vancouver, and part of that commitment requires us to be responsible fiscally. Printing costs continue to rise, but they aren’t the only increases we’re seeing. We’re also committed to mitigating the environmental impact of our mainstage shows and year-round activities. Read our full note here to learn more about our decision to shift to a digital programme. While it’s going to be an adjustment, we are really excited about the possibilities that this pivot opens up for us. From deep dives by tapped-in essayists, to video content, web recommendations, and more, a digital version will allow us to bring you all the info and features you’re used to, plus special bonuses we think you’ll really love. A printed performance tear sheet with artist names and short synopsis will be available at the theatre, and our digital programme with artist biographies, multimedia links, and more will be available online and emailed to all ticket buyers.

In all cases, please use discretion when deciding to bring a child as a performance and for everyone’s enjoyment, disruptive patrons will be asked by an usher to leave the theatre. Please call our ticket centre for more information about our child pricing.
