Where Do Your Performances Take Place?
Most Vancouver Opera performances take place downtown Vancouver at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Please check your ticket for the exact performance location. For more information about the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, Accessibility, Parking and Show Time information, please visit Venue Information.
Will Programmes Be Available?
A paper programme, with artist biographies, a synopsis, analysis of the opera, and donor information will be available at the theatre. A digital programme, with more information and multimedia links, will be available online and emailed to all ticket buyers.
May I Bring Children?
Yes, we welcome opera fans of all ages. All attendees, including children, must be ticketed for the performance. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. In all cases, please use discretion when deciding to bring a child as a performance and for everyone’s enjoyment, disruptive patrons will be asked by an usher to leave the theatre. Please call our ticket centre for more information about our child pricing.
Will There Be Pre-Show Talks?
Yes, we will have pre-show talks in the mezzanine level of the Queen Elizabeth Theatre an hour before the performance.
Are The Operas Translated?
Yes, English Subtitles—translated lyrics—are projected above a stage so patrons can understand what is being sung.
Do You Have Wheelchair Seating?
Yes, wheelchair and companion seating can be arranged through the VO ticket centre by calling 604 683 0222.
