Stories of Flight: Voices of Resilience, Hope, and Community

The event will include a moving story from an Iranian refugee, as well as insights from a social worker specializing in welcoming newcomers, providing a broader perspective on the immigration journey. Hosted by Ashley Daniel Foot, Director of Engagement and Civic Practice at Vancouver Opera, this special event explores resilience, hope, and the power of community. Stories of Flight is presented as part of Vancouver Opera’s engagement programming for Flight, Jonathan Dove’s poignant opera about a refugee stranded in an airport and the unexpected connections formed among travelers from all walks of life. Guests of this event will receive a special discount code for tickets to Flight, which runs February 8, 13, and 16, 2025, at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. This event is part of Vancouver Opera's VOICES Series, a free community concert series generously supported by TD.
