Join us for the premiere of Season Four of Opera Adventures, our free live series that brings opera to life through storytelling, conversation, and performance. This October, we dive into Verdi’s Rigoletto—a gripping tale of love, betrayal, and revenge. Hosted by the ever-engaging Nicholas Burns, the evening features live performances by two acclaimed singers, with the brilliant Derek Stanyer at the piano. Allyson Hop, soprano Known for her radiant voice and emotional clarity, Allyson has appeared with Vancouver Opera, Heroic Opera, and on tour with Stickboy. Her repertoire spans Mozart to Verdi and beyond. Aaron Durand, baritone With a warm, expressive baritone and commanding presence, Aaron has performed across Canada with companies including Vancouver Opera, Tapestry Opera, and Opera NUOVA. Derek Stanyer, pianist An accomplished collaborative artist, Derek is celebrated for his sensitive and dynamic playing, supporting singers with clarity and grace. Whether you're new to opera or a lifelong fan, Opera Adventures is your invitation to connect with the drama, beauty, and boldness of this art form—up close and personal.
